In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
O you who wraps himself [in clothing], 1 Arise [to pray] the night, except for a little - 2 (a half of it, or diminish a little, 3 Or add to it, and recite the Quran as it ought to be recited. 4 Surely We will make to light upon you a weighty Word. 5 Surely the rising by night is the firmest way to tread and the best corrective of speech. 6 You have by day prolonged occupations [with Dawah work]. 7 Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Lord of the eastern and western regions, with due sincerity. 8 (He Alone is) the Lord of the east and the west, La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He). So take Him Alone as Wakil (Disposer of your affairs). 9 And bear patiently the vain things they utter, and gracefully forsake them. 10 Leave Me to deal with the deniers, lords of ease and comfort (in this life); and do thou respite them awhile. 11 for, behold, heavy fetters [await them] with Us, and a blazing fire, 12 and food that chokes, and a painful chastisement, 13 On the Day when the earth and the mountains will be in violent shake, and the mountains will be a heap of sand poured out and flowing down. 14 Indeed, We have sent to you a Messenger as a witness upon you just as We sent to Pharaoh a messenger. 15 But Pharaoh disobeyed the messenger, so We seized him with a ruinous seizure. 16 So how will you save yourselves, if you disbelieve, on a day that will turn children old? 17 The Day when the heavens will be rent asunder and God's promise shall be fulfilled. 18 Verily this is a reminder. So let him who desires take the way to his Lord. 19
