▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ NAY, I call to witness the coming-down in parts [of this Qur'an] 75 - which is indeed a great oath if only you knew it - 76 That (this) is indeed an honourable recital (the Noble Quran). 77 Kept in a secure Book. 78 None shall touch it save the purified ones. 79 a sending down from the Lord of all the Worlds. 80 Is it such a Message that ye would hold in light esteem? 81 And make [the thanks for] your provision that you deny [the Provider]? 82 Then why do ye not (intervene) when (the soul of the dying man) reaches the throat,- 83 right before your very eyes? 84 But We (i.e. Our angels who take the soul) are nearer to him than you, but you see not, [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 27, Page 209] 85 Wherefore then, if ye are not to be requited 86 Can you not bring him back? (Answer) if you are truthful 87 Then if he is one of those drawn nigh (to Allah), 88 then happiness and delight and Gardens of Bliss are his. 89 And if he is of those on the right, – 90 Then there is safety and peace (from the Punishment of Allah) for (you as you are from) those on the Right Hand. 91 But if one happens to be of those who are wont to call the truth a lie, and [thus] go astray, 92 a welcome of burning despair [awaits him in the life to come,] 93 He will burn in Hell. 94 This is indeed the ultimate truth. 95 Wherefore hallow thou the name of thy Lord, the Mighty! 96
God the Almighty always says the truth.
