T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ O MAN! 1 We have not Sent down on thee the Qur'an that thou shouldst be distressed. 2 But as a reminder unto him who feareth, 3 It is a revelation from the Creator of the earth and the high heavens. 4 The Compassionate on the Throne is established. 5 To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth, and whatever lies in between them, and all that lies under the ground. 6 And if thou speakest aloud, then lo! He knoweth the secret (thought) and (that which is yet) more hidden. 7 Allah - there is no god but He. His are the most excellent names. 8 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses? 9 When he saw fire, he said to his family: Stop, for surely I see a fire, haply I may bring to you therefrom a live coal or find a guidance at the fire. 10 But when he came to the fire, a voice was heard: "O Moses! 11 “Indeed I am your Lord, therefore take off your shoes; indeed you are in the holy valley of Tuwa!” 12 I have chosen you. Therefore, listen to what shall be revealed. 13 Indeed, I am Allah. There is no deity except Me, so worship Me and establish prayer for My remembrance. 14 The Hour of Resurrection is coming. I have willed to keep the time of its coming hidden so that everyone may be recompensed in accordance with his effort. 15 So do not let those who do not believe in it and follow their vain desires, turn you away from it. 16 And what is that in thy right hand, O Musa! 17 He replied, "It is my staff. I lean on it, bring down leaves for my sheep with it and I need it for other reasons. 18 He said: "Moses, throw it down." 19 So he threw it - and lo! it was a snake, moving rapidly. 20 He said: Grasp it and fear not. We shall return it to its former state. 21 "Now draw thy hand close to thy side: It shall come forth white (and shining), without harm (or stain),- as another Sign,- 22 That We may show you of Our greater signs: 23 Go to Pharaoh, he has become insolent' 24
