Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Ya-Sin. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 By the Qur'an full of wisdom. 2 you (Prophet Muhammad) are truly among the Messengers sent 3 On a Straight Way. 4 (and this Qur'an) is a revelation from the Most Mighty, the Most Compassionate 5 That you may warn a people whose ancestors had never been warned, who are therefore heedless. 6 The Phrase has become obligatory upon most of them, yet they do not believe. 7 Verily! We have put on their necks iron collars reaching to chins, so that their heads are forced up. 8 And We have set a wall before them and a wall behind them, and covered the top – so they are unable to see anything. 9 Alike it is to them whether thou hast warned them or thou hast not warned them, they do not believe. 10 You can only warn one who follows the message and fears the Most Merciful unseen. So give him good tidings of forgiveness and noble reward. 11 Verily, We give life to the dead, and We record that which they send before (them), and their traces [their footsteps and walking on the earth with their legs to the mosques for the five compulsory congregational prayers, Jihad (holy fighting in Allah's Cause) and all other good and evil they did, and that which they leave behind], and all things We have recorded with numbers (as a record) in a Clear Book. 12
