Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
HAS THERE COME unto thee the tiding of the Overshadowing Event? 1 Faces on that day humbled, 2 laboring, wornout, 3 They will suffer the heat of the blazing fire 4 and will be made to drink from a boiling spring, 5 No food will there be for them but a poisonous thorny plant, 6 Which doth not nourish nor release from hunger. 7 (Whereas other) faces on that Day will be joyful, 8 With their effort [they are] satisfied 9 In a lofty Paradise. 10 Wherein you shall not hear vain talk. 11 Countless springs will flow therein, 12 Therein will be Thrones (of dignity), raised on high, 13 And chosen goblets. 14 and arranged cushions 15 And carpets spread out. 16 So do they not see the camel – how it has been created? 17 And the heavens, how it was raised high; 18 and how the mountains were firmly fixed? 19 And at the earth - how it is spread out? 20 Therefore do thou give admonition, for thou art one to admonish. 21 You are not a dictator over them. 22 Except whoever turns away and disbelieves – 23 Allah will punish him with a mighty Punishment, 24 Lo! unto Us is their return 25 Then indeed only upon Us is their reckoning. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
