In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Kaf- Ha-Ya-'Ain-Sad. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings]. 1 Mention of the mercy of thy Lord to His bondman Zakariyya. 2 when he called upon his Lord in low tones, saying, 3 saying, 'O my Lord, behold the bones within me are feeble and my head is all aflame with hoariness. And in calling on Thee, my Lord, I have never been hitherto unprosperous. 4 And now I fear my kinsfolk after I am gone; and my wife is barren. So give me, from Thee, a kinsman 5 to be my heir and to be the heir [of the blessings] of the House of Jacob; and make him, O my Lord, acceptable to you." 6 [Thereupon the angels called out unto him: "O Zachariah! We bring thee the glad tiding of [the birth of] a son whose name shall be John. [And God says,] "Never have We given this name to anyone before him." 7 He said: "My Lord! How can I have a boy when my wife is barren and I have reached an extremely old age?" 8 He said, "It will be so! Your Lord says, 'It is easy for Me for I created you when you were nothing before.'" 9 He said, "My Lord, grant me a sign!" He said, "Your sign will be that you will not speak to anyone for three successive days and nights, although sound in body." 10 Then he came forth to his people from the sanctuary, and he beckoned unto them. hallow your Lord morning and evening. 11 We commanded John, Zachariah's son, to follow the guidance of the Lord with due steadfastness. We gave knowledge and wisdom to John during his childhood. 12 and a tenderness from Us, and purity; and he was godfearing, 13 kind to his parents, not arrogant or a rebellious person. 14 Peace be upon him on the day he was born and the day he dies, and on him the day when he is raised up alive. 15

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
