We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 And We bestowed the clear Book to both of them. 117 and guided them in the straight path, 118 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon on both of them in the latter (generations), 119 Peace be on Musa and Haroun. 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 Verily! They were two of Our believing slaves. 122 Surely, Elias too was among the Messengers. 123 (Call to mind) when he said to his people: “Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you call on Baal and abandon the Best of Creators, 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your ancestors of yore.” 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 129 'Peace be upon Elias!' 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 For he was one of our believing Servants. 132 And verily, Lout (Lot) was one of the Messengers. 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 Except an old woman who was among those who lagged behind: 135 and then We utterly destroyed the others: 136 and you pass by them in the morning 137 And during the night; so do you not have sense? 138
