Therefore, remind. By the Favor of Allah, you are neither a soothsayer, nor mad. 29 Or say they: (he is) a poet, (one) for whom we may expect the accident of time? 30 Proclaim, “Go on waiting – I too am waiting along with you.” 31 Does their reason tell them to say this or is it because they are a rebellious people? 32 Or do they say, "He has made it up"? Rather, they do not believe. 33 Then let them produce speech the like thereof, if they are truthful. 34 Have they been created from nothing or are they themselves their own creators? 35 Created they the heavens and the earth! Aye! they will not be convinced. 36 [How could they?] Are thy Sustainer's treasures with them? Or are they in charge [of destiny]? 37 Or have they any stairway (unto heaven) by means of which they overhear (decrees). Then let their listener produce some warrant manifest! 38 Has (God) daughters and they sons? 39 Or askest thou them for a wage, and so they are weighed down with debt? 40 Or have they the unseen so that they write (it) down? 41 Or seek they to ensnare (the messenger)? But those who disbelieve, they are the ensnared! 42 Or do they have a God besides Allah? Purity is to Allah from their ascribing of partners to Him. 43 And if they were to see a fragment from the sky falling, they would say, "[It is merely] clouds heaped up." 44 Therefore leave them, until they confront their day, in which they will be stunned. 45 The Day when their plotting will avail them nothing and no help shall be given them. 46 And indeed, for those who have wronged is a punishment before that, but most of them do not know. 47 And so, await in patience thy Sustainer's judgment, for thou art well within Our sight. And extol thy Sustainer's limitless glory and praise whenever thou risest up, 48 And in the night, give Him glory too, and at the setting of the stars. 49
