۞ Proclaim the Purity of your Lord, the Supreme. 1 Who created and proportioned 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 then caused it to wither away. 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 Except as Allah wills: For He knoweth what is manifest and what is hidden. 7 And We will make it easy for thee (to follow) the simple (Path). 8 Therefor remind (men), for of use is the reminder. 9 The reminder will be received by him who fears (Allah), 10 But it will be avoided by those most unfortunate ones, 11 He who shall roast into the Great Fire, 12 Then he neither dies in it, nor lives. 13 He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself 14 remember the name of the Lord, and pray to Him. 15 Nay, but you prefer the present life; 16 even though the life hereafter will be better and will last forever. 17 And this is in the Books of the earliest (Revelation),- 18 In the Books of Ibrahim and Moosa. 19
