The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who has created (everything), and then proportioned it; 2 Who hath ordained laws. And granted guidance; 3 And Who brings out the pasturage, 4 then turns it into black stubble. 5 We shall teach you (the Quran) and you will not forget it 6 except what Allah should wish. He knows all that is manifest and all that is hidden. 7 And We shall make easy for you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the easy way (i.e. the doing of righteous deeds). 8 Therefore remind (men) in case the reminder profits (them). 9 He who fears (Allah) shall heed it, 10 but the wretched will turn away from it. 11 Who will burn in the terrible Fire, 12 wherein he will neither die nor remain alive. 13 He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself 14 and mentions the Name of his Lord, and prays. 15 No; but you prefer the present life, 16 whereas the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Verily this is in Writs ancient 18 The Scriptures of Ibrahim (Abraham) and Musa (Moses). 19
