Said Moosa, “My Lord, open up my breast for me.” 25 "Ease my task for me; 26 and my tongue fluent 27 so that they might fully understand my speech, 28 Appoint for me a minister from my family 29 “That is Haroon, my brother.” 30 By him confirm my strength 31 and associate him with me in my task. 32 That we may sing Your praises much, 33 And much remember Thee. 34 "For Thou art He that (ever) regardeth us." 35 He said: You are indeed granted your petition, O Musa 36 We have bestowed Our favour on you before this 37 "When We inspired your mother with that which We inspired. 38 "'Throw (the child) into the chest, and throw (the chest) into the river: the river will cast him up on the bank, and he will be taken up by one who is an enemy to Me and an enemy to him': But I cast (the garment of) love over thee from Me: and (this) in order that thou mayest be reared under Mine eye. 39 Recall, when your sister went along, saying: 'Shall I direct you to one who will take charge of him?' Thus We brought you back to your mother so that her heart might be gladdened and she might not grieve. Moses, recall when you slew a person. We delivered you from distress and made you go through several trials. Then you stayed for several years among the people of Midian, and now you have come at the right moment as ordained. 40 I have chosen you for Me. 41 Go you and your brother with My communications and be not remiss in remembering Me; 42 "Go, both of you, to Fir'aun (Pharaoh), verily, he has transgressed (all bounds in disbelief and disobedience and behaved as an arrogant and as a tyrant). 43 Then speak to him a gentle word haply he may mind or fear. 44 'O our Lord,' said Moses and Aaron, 'truly we fear he may exceed against us, or wax insolent.' 45 The Lord replied them, "Do not be afraid; I Am with you all the time, listening and seeing." 46 So go to him, and say: verily we are two apostles of thy Lord, so let go with us the Children of Isra'il, and torment them not; surely we have come unto thee with a sign from thy Lord: and peace be upon him who followeth the guidance. 47 Indeed, it has been revealed to us that the punishment will be upon whoever denies and turns away.' " 48 Said Firaun, “So who is the Lord of you both, O Moosa?” 49 He said, 'Our Lord is He who gave everything its creation, then guided it.' 50 Said Firaun, “What is the state of the former generations?” 51 Said Moses, 'The knowledge of them is with my Lord, in a Book; my Lord goes not astray, nor forgets -- 52 It is God who has made the earth as a cradle for you with roads for you to travel. He has sent water from the sky to produce various pairs of plants. 53 Do you eat, and pasture your cattle! Surely in that are signs for men possessing reason. 54
