The people of Lut denied the Noble Messengers. 160 When their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not fear God? 161 I am a trustworthy Messenger. 162 So keep your duty to Allah and obey me. 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the lord of the Worlds. 164 "Of all the creatures in the world, will ye approach males, 165 and leave your wives whom your Lord has created for you? No, but you are a transgressing nation' 166 They said: "If thou desist not, O Lut! thou wilt assuredly be cast out!" 167 He said: I am in truth of those who hate your conduct. 168 My Lord, deliver me and my people from that they do.' 169 We saved him and all of his family, 170 Except an old woman who lingered behind. 171 Thereafter We annihilated the rest. 172 And We rained upon them a rain [of stones], and evil was the rain of those who were warned. 173 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 174 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate. 175
