Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Perish the hands of Abu Lahab, and perish he! 1 His property and worldly gains will be of no help to him. 2 Anon he shall roast into Fire having flame. 3 And his wife, the wood-carrier, 4 A rope made from palm fibre around her neck! 5

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
