Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 and when the stars are scattered; 2 the oceans are merged together, 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O man! what hath beguiled thee concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created you then formed your symmetry, then gave you right proportion, 7 In whatever form He willed has He assembled you. 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 And most surely there are keepers over you 10 watching over you 11 who know all that you do: 12 The virtuous ones will live in bliss 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 [a fire] which they shall enter on Judgment Day, 15 and which they shall not [be able to] evade. 16 And what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 17 Again: what will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 18 (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
Almighty Allah's Truth.
