3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And indeed, [it was for this reason that] Noah cried unto Us - and how excellent was Our response: 75 We saved him and his family from the great affliction, 76 and We made his seed the survivors, 77 And left (his name) for posterity. 78 Peace and salutation to Nuh among the nations. 79 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 80 Verily he was of Our bondmen believing. 81 Then We did drown the others. 82 ۞ And Abraham indeed was of his inducement, 83 When he came to his Lord with a free heart, 84 Behold! he said to his father and to his people, "What is that which ye worship? 85 A lie-- gods besides Allah-- do you desire? 86 Then what is your thought about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 He looked up at the stars. 88 and said, "I am sick!" 89 So they turned away from him, and departed. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said, 'What do you eat? 91 “What is the matter with you, that you do not say anything?” 92 Then he attacked them, striking with his right hand. 93 His people came rushing towards him, 94 "Why do you worship these you carve yourselves," he asked, 95 while it is Allah Who has created you and all that you make?” 96 They said: Build for him a furnace, then cast him into the burning fire. 97 And they designed a snare for him, but We made them the undermost. 98 He said, "I will go to my Lord: He is sure to guide me. 99 "O my Lord! Grant me a righteous (son)!" 100 So We gave him the good news of a clement son. 101 And when he attained to working with him, he said: O my son! surely I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice you; consider then what you see. He said: O my father! do what you are commanded; if Allah please, you will find me of the patient ones. 102 When they both agreed and Abraham had lain down his son on the side of his face (for slaughtering), 103 We called out: "O Abraham, 104 Of a surety thou hast fulfilled the vision. Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 105 Lo! that verily was a clear test. 106 And We ransomed him with a Feat sacrifice. 107 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times. 108 'Peace be upon Abraham!' 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good. 110 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaque (Isaac) a Prophet from the righteous. 112 We had blessed him and Isaac. Some of their offspring were righteous and others were openly unjust to themselves. 113
