Nay, verily: By the Moon, 32 and the night when it retreats 33 and the morn when it dawns! 34 That (Hell) is surely one of the greater (signs), 35 as a warner to mortals. 36 To whoever wills among you to proceed or stay behind. 37 Every soul will be a pledge for that which it hath earned, 38 except those of the right hand 39 In Gardens (Paradise) they will ask one another, 40 about the sinners. 41 [And asking them], "What put you into Saqar?" 42 They will answer: We were not of those who prayed 43 nor did we feed the destitute. 44 and we plunged along with the plungers, 45 And we have been belying the Day of Requital. 46 "Until there came to us (the Hour) that is certain." 47 So no intercession will avail them. 48 Then what is wrong with them (i.e. the disbelievers) that they turn away from (receiving) admonition? 49 As though they were asses startled. 50 Fleeing from a hunter, or a lion, or a beast of prey. 51 Nay; every one of them desires that he may be given pages spread out; 52 Never! In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily. Lo! this is an Admonishment. 54 so whoever wills shall remember it. 55 they will only take heed if God so wills: He is the Lord who is worthy to be feared: the Lord of forgiveness. 56
