[AND] the people of Lot gave the lie to [one of God's] message-bearers 160 When their brother Lout (Lot) said to them: "Will you not fear Allah and obey Him? 161 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. 162 so fear God and obey me. 163 And I ask of you no hire therefor; my hire is but with the Lord of the worlds. 164 Do you, in the world, want to have carnal relations with males 165 “And leave the wives your Lord has created for you? In fact you are people who exceed the limits.” 166 They said, "If you do not desist, Lot, you will surely be banished." 167 He said, “I am disgusted with your works.” 168 My Lord, deliver me and my people from that they do.' 169 So We saved him and his household, every one, 170 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 171 We then destroyed the others. 172 And We rained down upon them a rain, and evil was the rain on those warned. 173 Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 174 And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 175

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
