The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta Sin. Those are the signs of the Koran and a Manifest Book, 1 it is guidance and good news for the believers 2 who establish their prayers, and pay the obligatory charity, and are certain of the Everlasting Life. 3 Verily those who believe not in the Hereafter - fairseeming unto them We have made their works, so that they wander perplexed. 4 They will suffer the worst kind of torment and will be lost in the life to come. 5 As to thee, the Qur'an is bestowed upon thee from the presence of one who is wise and all-knowing. 6 When Moses said to his household: 'Indeed, I can see a fire far away. I will go and bring you news of it or I will bring you a lighted flame so that you can warm yourselves' 7 But when he came to it, he was called: "Blessed is whosoever is in the fire, and whosoever is round about it! And glorified be Allah, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 8 O Musa! surely I am Allah, the Mighty, the Wise; 9 And cast thou down thy staff. Then when he saw it wriggling as though it were a serpent, he turned in flight and looked not back. O Musa! fear thou not; verily in My presence the sent ones fear not. 10 as for those who do wrong and then do good after evil, I am most forgiving, most merciful. 11 “And put your hand inside your armpit – it will come out shining white, not due to any illness; a sign among the nine signs towards Firaun and his people; they are indeed a lawless nation.” 12 But when Our light-giving messages came unto them, they said, "This is clearly [but] spellbinding deception!" 13 They rejected the evidence because of their arrogance and injustice, although their souls knew it to be true. Think how terrible the end of the sinful ones was! 14
