Do not think that Allah is unaware of the harmdoers work. He only gives them respite till the Day on which all eyes will stare, 42 when they shall run with their necks outstretched and heads erect, their glances never return to themselves, their hearts are empty. 43 (O Muhammad), warn mankind of the Day when a severe chastisement shall overtake them, and the wrong-doers will say: "Our Lord, grant us respite for a short while; we shall respond to Your call and will follow Your Messengers." (But they will be clearly told): "Are you not the same who swore earlier that they shall never suffer decline?" 44 “And you dwelt in the houses of those who had wronged themselves and it became very clear to you how We had dealt with them, and We illustrated several examples for you.” 45 Indeed the unbelievers contrived their plan, but it is in Allah's power to nullify their plan, even though their plans were such that would move even mountains. 46 You must not even think that God will disregard His promise to His messengers. God is Majestic and Revengeful. 47 (Do warn them of the) Day when the heavens and the earth shall be altogether changed; when all will appear fully exposed before Allah, the One, the Irresistible! 48 And you will see the criminals that Day bound together in shackles, 49 their garments shall be of melted tar, and their faces enveloped by the Fire. 50 That Allah may requite each person according to what he has earned. Truly, Allah is Swift at reckoning. 51 THIS IS A MESSAGE unto all mankind. Hence, let them be warned thereby, and let them know that He is the One and Only God; and let those who are endowed with insight take this to heart! 52
