AND IT IS We who have built the universe with [Our creative] power; and verily, it is We who are steadily expanding it. 47 And the earth! We have stretched it forth beneath; an excellent Spreader are We! 48 And of everything created We two kinds; haply you will remember. 49 (Muhammad), tell them,"Seek refuge in God. I have been sent from Him to plainly warn you. 50 And do not set up with Allah another god: surely I am a plain warner to you from Him. 51 [But] thus it is: never yet came any apostle to those who lived before their time but they said, "A spellbinder, ["sorcerer" is he,] or a madman!" 52 Is this the legacy they have passed down from one to the other? In fact, they are a rebellious people. 53 So turn away thou from them, not thou art blameworthy. 54 And remind (by preaching the Quran, O Muhammad SAW) for verily, the reminding profits the believers. 55 And I have not created the jinn and the men except that they should serve Me. 56 I seek not any provision from them (i.e. provision for themselves or for My creatures) nor do I ask that they should feed Me (i.e. feed themselves or My creatures). 57 for, verily, God Himself is the Provider of all sustenance, the Lord of all might, the Eternal! 58 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is a portion of torment like to the evil portion of torment (which came for) their likes (of old), so let them not ask Me to hasten on! 59 Alas the woe for those who refuse to believe in the Day which has been promised them. 60
