Shattering (Al-Infitaar)

19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

۞ When the sky is cleft asunder; 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 And when the oceans are swept away. 3 When the graves are overturned, 4 everyone shall know all his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 5 O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord 6 Him Who created thee. Fashioned thee in due proportion, and gave thee a just bias; 7 and composed thee after what form He would? 8 Rather, you belied the Recompense. 9 Verify there are for you guardians, 10 noble scribes, 11 Who know what you do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 whereas, behold, the wicked will indeed be in a blazing fire 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 And will not be removed from it. 16 And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 18 (It will be) the Day when no person shall have power (to do) anything for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
