To whosoever blinds himself from the Remembrance of the Merciful, We shall assign him a satan so he is his companion, 36 and these satans hinder them from the Right Path, while he still reckons himself to be rightly-guided. 37 till, when he comes to Us, he says, 'Would there had been between me and thee the distance of the two Easts!' An evil comrade! 38 When ye have done wrong, it will avail you nothing, that Day, that ye shall be partners in Punishment! 39 So will you make the deaf listen or show the path to the blind, and to those who are in open error? (The disbelievers whose hearts are sealed, are deaf and blind to the truth). 40 Even if We take you away from the world, We shall surely take vengeance on them 41 Or (if) We show thee that wherewith We threaten them; for lo! We have complete command of them. 42 So adhere to that which is revealed to you. Indeed, you are on a straight path. 43 And indeed, it is a remembrance for you and your people, and you [all] are going to be questioned. 44 And ask them – did any of the Noble Messengers We sent before you, appoint any other Gods except the Most Gracious, whom they used to worship? 45
