▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
And for one who fears to stand before his Lord, are two Gardens. 46 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?- 47 [two gardens] of many wondrous hues. 48 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 49 In each of the two Gardens are two flowing springs. 50 Which of your Lord's favours will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 51 In both these is a pair of every fruit. 52 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 53 Reclining upon the couches lined with silk brocade, and the fruits of the two Gardens will be near at hand. 54 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 55 In them maidens with averted glances, undeflowered by man or by jinn before them, -- 56 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?- 57 As (lovely as) rubies and as (beautiful as) coral. 58 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 59 The reward of goodness shall be nothing but goodness. 60 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 61 And besides these two there shall be two other Gardens. 62 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 63 Two Gardens, dark green and fresh. 64 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 65 Therein are two gushing fountains of water. 66 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 67 In them will be Fruits, and dates and pomegranates: 68 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 69 In them good and comely maidens -- 70 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? - 71 Houris (beautiful, fair females) restrained in pavilions; 72 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? - 73 Untouched by any man or jinn, before them. 74 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 75 They shall be reclining on green cushions and splendid carpets. 76 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 77 Blest be the name of thine Lord, Owner Of Majesty and Beneficence! 78
True are the words of God the Almighty.
