1/2 Hizb 35
< random >
O ye messengers! enjoy (all) things good and pure, and work righteousness: for I am well-acquainted with (all) that ye do. 51 And verily this religion of yours is one religion, and I am your Lord, so fear Me. 52 Then they cut their affair among them in regard to the Scriptures; each band in that which is with them rejoicing. 53 (Muhammad), leave them alone in their dark ignorance for an appointed time. 54 Do they think that because We have granted them abundance of wealth and sons, 55 We [but want to] make them vie with one another in doing [what they consider] good works? Nay, but they do not perceive [their error]! 56 Verily those who for fear of their Lord are in awe. 57 Those who believe in the Signs of their Lord; 58 who associate none with their Lord in His Divinity, 59 And those who give whatsoever they give, while their hearts are anxious that unto their Lord they are to be returners. 60 These race for the good things, and they shall win them in the race. 61 And We task not any soul except according to its capacity, and with Us is a book speaking with truth, and they will not be wronged. 62 But their hearts are in confused ignorance of this; and there are, besides that, deeds of theirs, which they will (continue) to do,- 63 Till, when We seize with the chastisement the ones of them that live at ease, behold, they groan. 64 "Do not supplicate for help today; you will not be rescued by Us; 65 For when My revelations were read out to you, you turned back on your heels and fled 66 In pride (they Quraish pagans and polytheists of Makkah used to feel proud that they are the dwellers of Makkah sanctuary Haram), talking evil about it (the Quran) by night. 67 Have they not pondered over the word of God? Has something come to them that did not come to their forefathers? 68 Or know they not their messenger, and so reject him? 69 Or do they say that he is possessed? In fact, he has brought the truth to them, but most of them abhor the truth. 70 Had truth been subject to their whims the heavens and the earth and all those within them would have been depraved. In fact We had sent them their reminder, but they turned away from good advice. 71 Or dost thou [O Muhammad] ask of them any worldly recompense? But [they ought to know that] recompense from thy Sustainer is best, since He is the best of providers! 72 You are calling them to a Straight Way, 73 But indeed, those who do not believe in the Hereafter are deviating from the path. 74 ۞ Were We to be merciful to them and remove from them their present afflictions, they would persist in their transgression, blindly wandering on. 75 And We had gripped them with suffering [as a warning], but they did not yield to their Lord, nor did they humbly supplicate, [and will continue thus] 76 when We opened on them a gate of severe punishment, they utterly despaired. 77
