The All High (Al-A'alaa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who hath created, and further, given order and proportion; 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 It is He who has caused the grass to grow, 4 Then makes it dried up, dust-colored. 5 We shall make you recite and then you will not forget, 6 Unless God may please. He knows the visible and knows what is hidden. 7 And We shall create the means of ease for you. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder profits, 9 Those who fear will understand. 10 But it will be avoided by the wretched, 11 Who shall enter the great fire; 12 in which he will neither die nor live therein. 13 To happiness [in the life to come] will indeed attain he who attains to purity [in this world,] 14 And mentions the name of his Lord and prays. 15 No; but you prefer the present life, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Most surely this is in the earlier scriptures, 18 In the Books of Ibrahim and Moosa. 19
