The people of Lot accused the messengers of lies. 160 When their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not fear God? 161 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 162 Have fear of God and obey me. 163 And I ask of you no hire therefor; my hire is but with the Lord of the worlds. 164 Why do you go for males unlike all other creatures 165 And leave what your Lord has created for you of your wives? Nay, you are a people exceeding limits. 166 They said, “O Lut, if you do not desist, you will be expelled.” 167 [Lot] exclaimed: "Behold, I am one of those who utterly abhor your doings!" 168 Lord, save me and my family from their deeds." 169 We saved him and all of his family, 170 except an old woman who stayed behind, 171 We then destroyed the others. 172 and We sent upon them a rain, an evil rain that fell on those who had been warned. 173 In this [story,] behold, there is a message [unto men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 174 Yet surely your Lord is mighty and powerful. 175
