O Prophet! say unto thy wives and thy daughters and women of the believers that they should let down upon them their wrapping-garments. That would be more likely to distinguish them so that they will not be affronted. And Allah is ever Forgiving, Merciful. 59 ۞ THUS IT IS: if the hypocrites, and they in whose hearts is disease, and they who, by spreading false rumours, would cause disturbances in the City [of the Prophet] desist not [from their hostile doings]; We shall indeed give thee mastery over them, [O Muhammad] - and then they will not remain thy neighbours in this [city] for more than a little while: 60 They shall have a curse on them: whenever they are found, they shall be seized and slain (without mercy). 61 That was the way of Allah in the case of those who passed away of old; thou wilt not find for the way of Allah aught of power to change. 62 People will ask you about the Hour. Say, "God alone has knowledge of it. Who knows? The Hour may well be near at hand." 63 Verily God has cursed the infidels, and prepared a blazing fire for them. 64 To dwell therein for ever: no protector will they find, nor helper. 65 On the Day whereon their faces shall be rolled in the Fire, they will say: Oh that we had obeyed Allah and had obeyed the apostle! 66 And they will say, "Our Lord, indeed we obeyed our masters and our dignitaries, and they led us astray from the [right] way. 67 Lord, make them to suffer double torment and subject them to the greatest condemnation." 68
