The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Ta. Sin. Mim. 1 These are the verses of a Book luminous. 2 Wouldst thou, perhaps, torment thyself to death [with grief] because they [who live around thee] refuse to believe [in it]? 3 If We will, We can send down on them from the sky a portent so that their necks would remain bowed before it. 4 And there does not come to them a new reminder from the Beneficent Allah but they turn aside from it. 5 So they have surely belied; wherefore anon there shall come unto them the truth of that whereat they were wont to mock. 6 Do they not look at the earth, how We caused a variety of fine vegetation to grow from it (in abundance)? 7 In this, behold, there is a message [unto men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 8 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 9
