T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Ta-Ha.* (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah and to whomever He reveals know their precise meanings.) 1 We have not sent the Quran down to you to distress you, 2 but only as an exhortation to all who stand in awe [of God]: 3 a revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens. 4 The Beneficent God is dominant over the Throne (of the realm). 5 To Him belongs what is in the heavens and what is on the earth and what is between them and what is under the soil. 6 And if you speak aloud - then indeed, He knows the secret and what is [even] more hidden. 7 Allah - there is no deity except Him. To Him belong the best names. 8 Have you heard the story of Moses? 9 Behold, he saw a fire: So he said to his family, "Tarry ye; I perceive a fire; perhaps I can bring you some burning brand therefrom, or find some guidance at the fire." 10 When he came to it, a voice cried, 'Moses, 11 Surely I am your Lord, therefore put off your shoes; surely you are in the sacred valley, Tuwa, 12 I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed to you. 13 I am God. There is no deity save Me; so worship Me alone, and say your prayers in My remembrance. 14 "Verily the Hour is coming - My design is to keep it hidden - for every soul to receive its reward by the measure of its Endeavour. 15 So do not let one avert you from it who does not believe in it and follows his desire, for you [then] would perish. 16 "And what is that in your right hand, O Musa (Moses)?" 17 He said, “This is my staff; I support myself on it, and I knock down leaves for my sheep with it, and there are other uses for me in it.” 18 Said He: "Throw it down, O Moses!" 19 So Moosa put it down – thereupon it became a fast moving serpent. 20 'Take it, and do not fear' He said, 'We will restore it to its former state. 21 Put your hand under your armpit: it will come out [shining] white, without any blemish. This shall be another sign. 22 That We may shew thee of Our Signs the greatest. 23 And go to Pharaoh now for he has transgressed all bounds." 24
