The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the racers, panting, 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 by the dawn-raiders 3 and blaze a trail of dust, 4 And penetrate forthwith into the midst (of the foe) en masse;- 5 surely, man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And indeed he himself is a witness to it. 7 for, verily, to the love of wealth is he most ardently devoted. 8 ۞ Knows he not that when that which is in the tombs is over-thrown, 9 And there shall be brought to light that which is in the breasts? 10 On that day will their Lord be perfectly informed concerning them. 11
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
