INDEED, We sent forth Noah unto his people, and he said: "O my people! Worship God alone: you have no deity other than Him. Verily, I fear lest suffering befall you on an awesome Day!" 59 The chieftains of his people said: Lo! we see thee surely in plain error. 60 Said he, 'My people, there is no error in me; but I am a Messenger from the Lord of all Being.' 61 sent to preach to you the message of my Lord and to give you good advice. I know what you do not know about God. 62 Does it seem strange to you that a reminder from your Lord should be sent to a man, from among you, to warn you so that you might receive mercy?" 63 Then they belied him; thereupon We delivered him and those with him in the ark, and drowned those who belied Our signs; verily they were a people blind. 64
