The people of Al-Hijr denied Our apostles; 80 And We brought Our signs unto them, yet they were averting themselves therefrom. 81 They were hewing the mountains into houses, therein dwelling securely; 82 Then the Blast caught them in the morning 83 And all that which they used to earn availed them not. 84 We have created the heavens and the earth and all that is between the two in accordance with the requirements of truth and wisdom. The Hour is surely coming. So overlook [their faults] with gracious forgiveness. 85 Indeed your Lord only is the Great Creator, the All Knowing. 86 And certainly We have given you seven of the oft-repeated (verses) and the grand Quran. 87 Strain not thine eyes. (Wistfully) at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them, nor grieve over them: but lower thy wing (in gentleness) to the believers. 88 And say: "I am indeed he that warneth openly and without ambiguity,"- 89 As We have sent down on the dividers, (Quraish pagans or Jews and Christians). 90 who have broken the Koran into parts, 91 So by your Lord, We will surely question them all 92 for what they have done 93 So declare to them what We have enjoined, and turn away from idolaters. 94 verily, We shall suffice thee against all who [now] deride [this message - all] 95 Who set up along with Allah another ilah (god), they will come to know. 96 We do indeed know how your heart is distressed at what they say. 97 So exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord and be of those who prostrate [to Him]. 98 and worship your Lord until what is certain [death] comes to you. 99
