Moses said, "Lord, grant me courage. 25 and ease my task for me. 26 Loosen the knot in my tongue, 27 so that they may understand my speech, 28 And give me as assistant from my family 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 By him confirm my strength 31 And associate him (with me) in my affair, 32 That we may exalt You much 33 and remember You abundantly. 34 Verily, Thou seest all that is within us!" 35 He replied: 'Moses, your request is granted. 36 Indeed, We showed Our favour to you before also, 37 "When We inspired your mother with that which We inspired. 38 to lace her child in a chest and throw it into the sea which would hurl it towards the shore. Then an enemy of Mine who was also the enemy of the child would pick it up from there. I made you attractive and loveable so that you would be reared before My own eyes. 39 “When your sister went, then said, ‘Shall I show you the people who may nurse him?’ And We brought you back to your mother in order to soothe her eyes and that she may not grieve; and you killed a man, so We freed you from sorrow, and tested you to the maximum; you therefore stayed for several years among the people of Madyan; then you came (here) at an appointed time, O Moosa.” 40 And I chose you for Myself. 41 Go you and your brother with My communications and be not remiss in remembering Me; 42 Go both of you to Pharaoh, for he has transgressed all bounds, 43 And speak to him with gentle speech that perhaps he may be reminded or fear [Allah]." 44 The two said:" Lord! We fear he may commit excesses against us, or transgress all bounds." 45 He said: "Fear not: for I am with you: I hear and see (everything). 46 So go you both to Pharaoh, and say, "We are the Messengers of thy Lord, so send forth with us the Children of Israel and chastise them not; we have brought thee a sign from thy Lord; and peace be upon him who follows the guidance! 47 It has been revealed to us that punishment will befall him who denies and turns away. 48 He asked: "Who then is that Lord of yours, O Moses?" 49 He said: "Our Lord is He Who gave everything its form and then guided it." 50 Said [Pharaoh]: "And what of all the past generations?" 51 Musa said: the knowledge thereof is with my Lord in the Book; my Lord erreth not, nor He forgetteth. 52 It is He who has made for you the earth as a cradle and threaded roads for you and sends down water from the sky with which We bring forth every kind of plant. 53 To eat and feed your cattle. Surely there are signs in these for those who are wise. 54
