And when thy Lord called to Moses, 'Go to the people of the evildoers, 10 The people of Pharaoh. Will they not fear and take heed?" 11 He said, 'My Lord, I fear they will cry me lies, 12 "My breast will be straitened. And my speech may not go (smoothly): so send unto Aaron. 13 And they have a crime against me, so I fear that they will kill me. 14 [Allah] said, "No. Go both of you with Our signs; indeed, We are with you, listening. 15 Then come to Firon and say: Surely we are the apostles of the Lord of the worlds: 16 so send forth with us the Children of Israel." 17 Said Firaun, “Did we do not raise you amongst us, as a child? And you spent many years of your life among us!” 18 You spent many years of your life among us and then you committed that deed of yours. You are very ungrateful indeed." 19 Replied [Moses]: "I committed it while I was still going astray; 20 Then I fled from you when I feared you, and my Lord bestowed on me wisdom and made me one of the sent ones. 21 “And is this some great reward for which you express favour upon me – that you have enslaved the Descendants of Israel?” 22 Pharaoh said, 'And what is the Lord of all Being?' 23 'He' (Moses) replied: 'is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if you believe' 24 (Pharaoh) said to those around: "Did ye not listen (to what he says)?" 25 He said, 'Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients.' 26 (Pharaoh) said: 'Surely, the Messenger who has been sent to you is mad!' 27 (Moses) said: "Lord of the East and the West, and all between! if ye only had sense!" 28 Pharaoh said, "If you take any deity other than myself, I will throw you into prison," 29 Said Moosa, “Even if I bring to you something clear?” 30 He (Pharaoh) replied: 'Show us your sign, if you are of the truthful' 31 Moses threw his staff and suddenly it became a serpent. 32 And he drew out his hand; thereupon it was white for the observers. 33
