The 'Aad belied the sent ones. 123 When their fellowman Hud said to them, “Do you not fear?” 124 I am for you a faithful Messenger, 125 So keep your duty to Allah and obey me. 126 For this I ask of you no wage, for my wage falls only on the Lord of the Worlds. 127 Do you build on every height a monument? Vain is it that you do: 128 and erect castles hoping that you will live forever. 129 "And when ye exert your strong hand, do ye do it like men of absolute power? 130 So fear you God, and obey you me; 131 Fear Him who has given you all the things you know. 132 Gave you increase of cattle and sons, 133 And gardens and springs. 134 I fear the punishment of a terrible day for you. 135 They said, 'Alike it is to us, whether thou admonishest, or art not one of the admonishers; 136 this is nothing but the habit of the ancients, 137 They rejected him and We destroyed them. 138 In this there is evidence (of the Truth), yet most of them do not have any faith. 139 Surely, your Lord is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 140
