3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah cried to Us, and how excellent was Our response! 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great distress, 76 and caused his offspring to endure [on earth]; 77 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 78 "Peace and salutation to Noah among the nations!" 79 This is how We reward the virtuous. 80 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 81 Then We drowned the others. 82 ۞ Abraham was one of his followers. 83 he came to his Lord with a sound heart. 84 Behold! he said to his father and to his people, "What is that which ye worship? 85 "Is it a falsehood aliha (gods) other than Allah that you seek? 86 What do you think about the Lord of the Universe?" 87 And he cast a glance at the stars, 88 And said: "I am sick (of what you worship)!" 89 But they went away from him, turning their backs. 90 Then did he turn to their gods and said, "will ye not eat (of the offerings before you)?... 91 What is wrong with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then he attacked them, striking with his right hand. 93 Thereafter they (the people) came to him in haste. 94 He said: "Worship ye that which ye have (yourselves) carved? 95 even though God created both you and that which you have made?" 96 They said, "Construct for him a furnace and throw him into the burning fire." 97 And they devised a plot for him, but We made them the humble. 98 He said: 'I will go to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 “My Lord! Give me a meritorious child.” 100 And We gave him the glad tidings of a very gentle son (Ishmael). 101 When his son was old enough to work with him, he said, "My son, I have had a dream that I must sacrifice you. What do you think of this?" He replied, "Father, fulfill whatever you are commanded to do and you will find me patient, by the will of God". 102 So when they both submitted and he threw him down upon his forehead, 103 We called to him, "Abraham, 104 you have indeed fulfilled your dream. Thus do We reward the good-doers.” 105 Most surely this is a manifest trial. 106 So We ransomed him for a great sacrifice, 107 And We left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 108 Peace be upon Ibrahim! 109 That is how We recompense the righteous: 110 he was among Our believing servants. 111 Then, We gave him the glad tidings of Isaac, a Prophet, one of the righteous, 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among their descendants are some who do good, but some who wrong themselves. 113
