In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Recite in the name of your Lord who created - 1 created the human from a (blood) clot. 2 Proclaim! And thy Lord is Most Bountiful,- 3 Who taught (to write) with the pen 4 Taught man that which he knew not. 5 Yet man behaves arrogantly, 6 for he thinks himself self-sufficient. 7 Surely to your Lord is your return. 8 Have you seen him who restrains 9 a servant of Ours from prayer? 10 Have you seen if he is upon guidance 11 He would enjoin piety, so how good it would be! 12 Do you see how he has denied the truth and turned away from it? 13 Does he not know that God sees? 14 Let him beware! If he desist not, We will drag him by the forelock,- 15 A lying, sinful forelock! 16 So let him call on his concourse! 17 We will call the guards of hell. 18 No! Do not obey him. But prostrate and draw near [to Allah]. ۩ 19
