Hizb 46

Jonah, too, was one of the Messengers. 139 He fled to the overloaded ship. 140 And lots were cast (when a storm overtook them), he was rejected, (and thrown overboard). 141 And a fish swallowed him, and he was reproaching himself. 142 Had he not been one of those who struggled hard, 143 He would have tarried in the belly thereof till the Day when they are raised. 144 ۞ But We caused him to be cast forth on to the beach, sick as he was, 145 and We caused to grow over him a tree of gourds. 146 And We sent him (on a mission) to a hundred thousand (men) or more. 147 And they believed, whrefore We let them enjoy life for a season. 148 Now ask them (O Muhammad): Hath thy Lord daughters whereas they have sons? 149 Or that have We created the angels as females, while they were present? 150 Verily, it is of their falsehood that they (Quraish pagans) say: 151 That “Allah has offspring”; and indeed, surely, they are liars. 152 "He has chosen daughters in preference to sons"! 153 “What is the matter with you? What sort of a judgement you impose!” 154 What, and will you not remember? 155 Or have you a clear authority? 156 Bring your Book, if what you say is true! 157 They have established a kinship between Allah and the angels; and the angels know well that these people will be arraigned (as culprits). 158 Exalted is Allah above what they describe, 159 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 160 So you and your deities 161 Not against Him can you cause (any) to fall into trial, 162 except him who shall roast in Hell. 163 (Those ranged in ranks say): "Not one of us but has a place appointed; 164 "And we are verily ranged in ranks (for service); 165 Verily, we (angels), we are they who glorify (Allah's Praises i.e. perform prayers). 166 Even though they (unbelievers) say, 167 "Had we received guidance from the people living before us, 168 then were we God's sincere servants.' 169 And yet, [now that this divine writ has been placed before them,] they refuse to acknowledge it as true! In time, however, they will come to know [what it was that they had rejected]: 170 And Our word has already preceded for Our servants, the messengers, 171 [That] indeed, they would be those given victory 172 And that certainly Our armies will be victorious. 173 So, (O Prophet), leave them alone for a while, 174 And watch them, for they will soon see. 175 Would they hasten on Our doom? 176 When it descends upon their courtyards, evil will be the morning of those forewarned. 177 And turn away from them for some time. 178 And watch, for they will soon see. 179 Glory to thy Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they ascribe (to Him)! 180 Peace be with the Messengers (of God). 181 It is only God, the Lord of the Universe, who deserves all praise. 182
Almighty God's Truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
