Hizb 46

Jonah too was one of the messengers. 139 When he ran away to a ship completely laden, 140 Then lots were drawn and he became of those who were pushed into the sea. 141 Then a (big) fish swallowed him and he had done an act worthy of blame. 142 And were he not one of those who praise. 143 He would have tarried in the belly thereof till the Day when they are raised. 144 ۞ We cast him out of the fish unto dry land and he was sick. 145 And We grew a tree of gourd (as a shelter) above him. 146 We sent him as a messenger to a hundred thousand people or more, 147 and they believed, and We gave them enjoyment for awhile. 148 Then ask them whether your Lord has daughters and they have sons. 149 Have We created the angels as females before their very eyes? 150 It is only because of their false invention that they say, 151 "God has begotten children." They are truly liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters over sons? 153 What is amiss with you and your judgment? 154 What, will you not remember? 155 Or have you clear evidence? 156 Then produce your writ, if ye are truthful. 157 And some people have invented a kinship between Him and all manner of invisible forces although [even] these invisible forces know well that, verily, they [who thus blaspheme against God] shall indeed be arraigned [before Him on Judgment Day: for] 158 Hallowed be Allah from that which they ascribe to Him. 159 all of them except the chosen servants of Allah. 160 So you and your deities 161 You cannot make anyone rebel against Him. 162 Except the one who will go into the blazing fire. 163 And there is none of us but has an assigned place, 164 “And indeed we, with our wings spread, await the command.” 165 And we are those who sing hallelujas to Him." 166 They used to say before: 167 “If we had some advice from the earlier generations,” 168 We would certainly have been the servants of Allah-- the purified ones. 169 But (now that the Quran has come) they disbelieve therein (i.e. in the Quran and in Prophet Muhammad SAW, and all that which he brought, the Divine Revelation), so they will come to know! 170 And assuredly Our word hath already gone forth Our bondmen, the sent ones: 171 That they would be helped, 172 And most surely Our host alone shall be the victorious ones. 173 Therefore turn away from them till a time, 174 And watch them and they shall see (the punishment)! 175 Do they want to suffer Our torment immediately? 176 But when it shall descend in their court, evil shall then be the morning of the warned ones. 177 Withdraw from them awhile 178 And watch, for they will soon see. 179 Exalted be your Lord, the Lord of Glory, above what they attribute to Him, 180 And peace be upon the Envoys; 181 And Praise to Allah, the Lord and Cherisher of the Worlds. 182
Almighty God's Truth.
