Have you not seen those who dispute with respect to the communications of Allah: how are they turned away? 69 they who give the lie to this divine writ and [thus] to all [the messages] with which We sent forth Our apostles [of old]? But in time they will come to know [how blind they have been: they will know it on Judgment Day,] 70 When around their necks will be shackles and chains; they will be dragged. – 71 boiling water, and cast into the Fire. 72 Then it will be said to them: "Where are (all) those whom you used to join in worship as partners 73 “As rivals to Allah?”; they will say, “We have lost them – in fact we never used to worship anything before!”; this is how Allah sends the disbelievers astray. 74 That is because you exulted in the land unjustly and because you behaved insolently. 75 Enter the gates of Gehenna and live there for ever. Evil is the lodging of the proud. 76 So persevere in patience; for the Promise of Allah is true: and whether We show thee (in this life) some part of what We promise them,- or We take thy soul (to Our Mercy) (before that),-(in any case) it is to Us that they shall (all) return. 77 And certainly We sent apostles before you: there are some of them that We have mentioned to you and there are others whom We have not mentioned to you, and it was not meet for an apostle that he should bring a sign except with Allah's permission, but when the command of Allah came, judgment was given with truth, and those who treated (it) as a lie were lost. 78
