1/2 Hizb 46
< random >
And remember Our servant Job, when he called to his Lord, "Indeed, Satan has touched me with hardship and torment." 41 [So he was told], "Strike [the ground] with your foot; this is a [spring for] a cool bath and drink." 42 And We bestowed his household to him and one more similar to it as a mercy from Us, and as a remembrance for the people of intellect. 43 "Take a handful of herbs," (We said to him), and apply and rub them, and do not make a mistake." We found him patient in adversity, an excellent devotee, always turning in repentance. 44 And make mention of Our bondmen, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, men of parts and vision. 45 Assuredly We purified them with a quality most pure, the remembrance of the Abode, 46 They were, in Our sight, truly, of the company of the Elect and the Good. 47 Recall Ismael, Elisha, and Dhulkifl (Ezekiel) who were all virtuous people. 48 This is a Reminder, and verily, for the Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons - see V. 2:2) is a good final return (Paradise), 49 #NAME? 50 Reclining within them, they will call therein for abundant fruit and drink. 51 ۞ And beside them will be chaste females (virgins) restraining their glances only for their husbands, (and) of equal ages. 52 This is the promise being given to you, for the Day of Reckoning. 53 Truly such will be Our Bounty (to you); it will never fail;- 54 This (is for the righteous). And lo! for the transgressors there with be an evil journey's end, 55 Hell; they shall enter it, so evil is the resting-place. 56 This - so let them taste it - is scalding water and [foul] purulence. 57 And other similar torments. 58 Here is an army rushing blindly with you. (Those who are already in the Fire say): No word of welcome for them. Lo! they will roast at the Fire. 59 They will say, "Nor you! No welcome for you. You, [our leaders], brought this upon us, and wretched is the settlement." 60 They will say: "Our Lord! whoever brought this upon us,- Add to him a double Penalty in the Fire!" 61 And they will say: 'Why do we not see the men that we counted as being among the wicked in here? 62 [and] whom we made the target of our derision? Or is it that [they are here, and] our eyes have missed them?" 63 This contending of the inmates of Hell will surely be real. 64
