Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the dipersing winds that disperse. 1 And (the clouds) that bear heavy weight of water; 2 and those speeding along with ease, 3 And the angels who distribute the affair. 4 that what you are promised is certainly true 5 and the Day of Judgment will inevitably take place. 6 CONSIDER the firmament full of starry paths! 7 Certainly, you have different ideas (about Muhammad SAW and the Quran). 8 From which only he turns who is turned away. 9 Woe to the liars 10 and who wander in the abyss of confusion. 11 They ask: "When is the Day of Judgement?" -- 12 (It will be) a Day when they will be tried (i.e. burnt) over the Fire! 13 (And told:) "Taste your punishment. This is what you were trying to hasten." 14 The pious ones will live amidst gardens and springs, 15 Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good. 16 Little of the night would they slumber, 17 And used to seek forgiveness before dawn. 18 And the beggar and the destitute had a share in their wealth. 19 And in the earth are portents for those whose faith is sure. 20 and also in your own selves. Do you not see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision and whatever you are promised. 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth it is sure, even as it is a fact that ye are speaking. 23
