The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the rangers ranging 1 And those who restrain by reprimanding, 2 and those who recite Our revelations, 3 Lo! thy Lord is surely One; 4 He is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Lord of the Eastern regions. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the planets, 6 a protection against every rebel satan; 7 They cannot listen to the exalted assembly and they are thrown at from every side, 8 To make them flee, and for them is a never-ending punishment. 9 except such as snatches a fragment, and he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 Then ask them whether they are stronger in creation or those (others) whom We have created. Surely We created them of firm clay. 11 (Muhammad), you will be surprised that they still mock (God's revelations). 12 and when they are reminded [of the truth,] they refuse to take it to heart; 13 and when they see a miracle, they mock 14 it and say, "It is only plain magic". 15 When we are dead and turned to dust and bones, how can we be raised again, 16 and perhaps also our forebears of old?" 17 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Yes, and you shall then be humiliated." 18 There will be a single stern rebuff and lo, they will be observing with their own eyes (all that they had been warned against). 19 And they shall say: O woe to us! this is the day of requital. 20 This is the Day of Judgment which ye were wont to belie. 21
