Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Ya Sin. 1 By the wise Qur'an. 2 Indeed you, [O Muhammad], are from among the messengers, 3 and that you follow the right path. 4 This is a revelation sent down from the Majestic and All-merciful 5 That thou mayest warn a people whose fathers were not warned; so they are negligent. 6 (I swear) that most of them are doomed to be punished. They have no faith. 7 Surely We have put on their necks fetters up to the chin, so their heads are raised; 8 And We have put before them a barrier and behind them a barrier and covered them, so they do not see. 9 It is the same whether you have warned them or you have not warned them, they do not believe. 10 You can only warn him who follows the Reminder (the Quran), and fears the Most Beneficent (Allah) unseen. Bear you to such one the glad tidings of forgiveness, and a generous reward (i.e. Paradise). 11 We shall surely bring the dead back to life and We record what they send ahead and what they leave behind. We have recorded everything in a clear book. 12
