AND IT IS We who have built the universe with [Our creative] power; and verily, it is We who are steadily expanding it. 47 and We cradled the earth. And We are the Best of Cradlers. 48 And all things We have created by pairs, that haply ye may reflect. 49 Flee therefore unto Allah; verily I am unto you from Him a warner manifest. 50 Do not choose other gods besides Him. I have been sent from Him to plainly warn you". 51 Likewise, there came no messenger to those before them, but they said, "He is a sorcerer or a madman." 52 Have they (the people of the past) transmitted this saying to these (Quraish pagans)? Nay, they are themselves a people transgressing beyond bounds (in disbelief)! 53 Turn away from them. You will not be blamed. 54 And warn, for warning profiteth believers. 55 And I have not created the jinn and mankind but that they should worship Me. 56 No Sustenance do I require of them, nor do I require that they should feed Me. 57 Lo! Allah! He it is that giveth livelihood, the Lord of unbreakable might. 58 And indeed, for those who have wronged is a portion [of punishment] like the portion of their predecessors, so let them not impatiently urge Me. 59 Woe then to the unbelievers for their Day which they were promised! 60
