In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Read! In the name of your Lord, who created: 1 Createth man from a clot. 2 Read - for thy Sustainer is the Most Bountiful One 3 Who teacheth by the pen, 4 Hath taught man that which he knew not. 5 Indeed, surely the human is very insolent 6 Because he considers himself self-sufficient. 7 However, (all things) will return to your Lord. 8 Did you see him who forbids 9 a servant (of Allah) when he prays? 10 Did you consider: what if he is on the Right Way, 11 Or enjoineth piety? 12 Hast thou seen if he denieth (Allah's guidance) and is froward? 13 Does he not realize that God sees him? 14 Indeed, if he does not desist, We will seize him by the forelock, 15 his lying, sinful forelock. 16 So let him call on his concourse! 17 We will now call the guards! 18 (Muhammad), never yield to him! Prostrate yourself and try to come closer to God. ۩ 19
