The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heavens and that which comes in the night -- 1 And what can make you know what is the night comer? 2 The star of piercing brightness; 3 Over every soul there is a watcher. 4 Now let man but think from what he is created! 5 He was created from a fluid, ejected, 6 Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs: 7 Surely He is able to bring him back 8 The Day that (all) things secret will be tested, 9 Then man will have no power or any helper. 10 By the Firmament which returns (in its round), 11 and the earth, bursting forth with plants! 12 That this (Qur'an) is a decisive word 13 it is not a jest. 14 They are cunningly devising, 15 and I am devising guile. 16 Give respite to the disbelievers and leave them alone for a while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
