AND IT IS We who have built the universe with [Our creative] power; and verily, it is We who are steadily expanding it. 47 And We have spread out the (spacious) earth: How excellently We do spread out! 48 And of everything created We two kinds; haply you will remember. 49 Flee, therefore, to Allah. Surely I am a clear warner to you from Him; 50 And make not another an object of worship with Allah: I am from Him a Warner to you, clear and open! 51 Thus has it been (in the past): never did a Messenger come to the nations that preceded them but they said: “(He is) a sorcerer, or a mad-man.” 52 Have they arrived at a common understanding concerning this? No; but they are a people given to transgression. 53 So turn your attention away from them; you shall incur no blame. 54 And remind, for indeed, the reminder benefits the believers. 55 And I created the jinns and men, only for them to worship Me. 56 I desire from them no provision, nor do I want them to feed Me. 57 Indeed, it is Allah who is the [continual] Provider, the firm possessor of strength. 58 For the Wrong-doers, their portion is like unto the portion of their fellows (of earlier generations): then let them not ask Me to hasten (that portion)! 59 Therefore woe to those who disbelieve because of their day which they are threatened with. 60
