(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 And gave a little and [then] refrained? 34 Has he the knowledge of the unseen so that he can see? 35 Or, has he not been informed of what is in the scriptures of Musa? 36 And Abraham who paid his debt: 37 that no soul shall bear the burden of another; 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 And that his effort will be seen. 40 and in the end he will be repaid for it in full; 41 that all things in the end shall return to God; 42 That it is He who makes you happy and morose, 43 And that He it is Who causes death and gives life- 44 That He created pairs, male and female, 45 from an ejected drop of sperm; 46 and that upon Him is the second creation 47 And that it is He Who has given wealth and contentment? 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 that it was He that destroyed ancient Aad 50 And Thamud (people). He spared none of them. 51 And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing. 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 Then covered them with that which covered them. 54 Then which of the Graces of your Lord (O man!) will you doubt. 55 This is a warning just like those of former times. 56 that [Last Hour] which is so near draws ever nearer, 57 None, except Allah, can avert it. 58 Do you then wonder at this announcement? 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 Wasting your time in vanities? 61 So bow yourselves before God, and serve Him! ۩ 62
