So did you observe him who turned away? 33 Gives a little, then hardens (his heart)? 34 Hath he knowledge of the Unseen so that he seeth? 35 Hath he not been told of that which is in the writs of Musa. 36 And with Abraham who kept his word: 37 “That no bearer of a burden shall bear the burden of another, 38 nor can man achieve anything without hard labor. 39 And that his deeds will be seen, 40 whereupon he shall be requited for it with the fullest requital; 41 and that with thy Sustainer is the beginning and the end [of all that exists]; 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 and that it is He who makes to die, and that makes to live, 44 and He it is Who created the two kinds, the male and the female, 45 from an ejaculated drop (of sperm), 46 That He hath promised a Second Creation (Raising of the Dead); 47 And that He it is Who enricheth and contenteth; 48 And that He is the Lord of the Sirius; 49 It was He who totally destroyed the former 'Ad 50 and Thamood, and He did not spare them, 51 Like the people of Noah before them, who were surely oppressors and rebellious; 52 And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain, 53 So there covered them that which did cover (i.e. torment with stones). 54 Then which of the gifts of thy Lord, (O man,) wilt thou dispute about? 55 This (Muhammad SAW) is a warner (Messenger) of the (series of) warners (Messengers) of old. 56 The near event draws nigh. 57 apart from God none can disclose it. 58 Do you, perchance, find this tiding strange? 59 And do you laugh instead of weeping, 60 while you are thoughtless? 61 Rather, prostrate to Allah and worship Him. ۩ 62
God the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Stars (Al-Najm). Sent down in Mecca after Absoluteness (Al-Ikhlaas) before He Frowned ('Abasa)
